02. AI Resources + Data-Protection Glossary
AI is changing quickly, and so is the language around it.
Across conversations with members, clients, and partners, one thing has become clear - many of the terms shaping AI use in our industry are still evolving, and often unclear.
To help create a shared foundation, we’ve developed an AI & Data-Protection Glossary - a living resource designed to define key terms and support more informed, consistent conversations across the industry.
The glossary is available to everyone and will continue to evolve as the landscape shifts.
For AMA members, we’ve also updated the AI Resources section on the site. It's designed to go beyond definitions and support how this work is actually showing up in practice. These resources are intended to help you navigate conversations, negotiations, and decision-making with greater clarity and confidence.
Member resources include:
• Walled Garden vs Open Systems
• Steps to Monetizing and Negotiating AI Use
• Practical Questions for Negotiations
• Sample Contractual Language
These resources are grounded in ongoing conversations with our members and reflect a shared effort to better understand where the industry is heading and how to approach it thoughtfully.
We’ll continue to expand both the glossary and resources as new questions and use cases emerge.
You can access the AI+Data-Protection Glossary below.

03. Partner Showcase - Mayo Studios
April 30, 2026 | 11AM PT / 2PM ET
Please join us for our next Partner Showcase featuring Mayo Studios.
Mayo will share a look inside their 20,000 sq ft production studio, process and newest offering - A.Y.O. a studio membership program.
Mayo has built their studio around the needs of working teams. From in-house set builds and a deep prop collection to flexible spaces designed for both photo and video shoots. This session is a chance to better understand how their offerings can support your productions from start to finish.
We’ll cover:
• History and overview of Mayo Studios
• A look at the studio space - including house sets, set shop, prop library and other in-house resources
• How Mayo can support your productions: Pre-built sets, set design and custom set builds
• Access to their prop collection and nearby prop houses
• Logistics and production support
• Introduction to A.Y.O.
• AMA member benefits
Partner Showcases are a simple, low‑pressure way to meet the AMA Partners who support our work, learn what they do, and ask practical questions in real time. Think of them as short, conversational spotlights, focused on helpful context, timely insights, and resources you can actually use.
This event is exclusive to AMA members, so please ensure you're logged into your AMA account to register.
Register at the link below and we look forward to seeing you there!
04. Website Update: Treatments + Pitch Decks
We’ve expanded our Treatment + Pitch Deck Considerations section to better support how work is evolving across our industry.
As pitching materials are shared more frequently and often across multiple teams and platforms, we’ve developed new language to help clarify expectations around usage, confidentiality, and ownership. These additions are designed to support members in protecting their work while maintaining clear, professional standards in the pitching process.
This update includes newly developed disclaimer language for both agency/production pitch decks and artist treatments. Together, these resources are intended to provide a more complete framework for how materials are shared, reviewed, and safeguarded.
These resources are available for AMA members at the link below. You must be logged into your AMA account to access.
05. Copyright Alliance
On March 20, the U.S. Copyright Office proposed an increase in copyright registration fees, which would significantly raise fees by an average of 43% and eliminate the Single Application registration option.
The Copyright Alliance created a survey regarding the Copyright Office’s proposed registration fees to better understand how they will impact creators, so we can advocate for creator interests when we file our written comments with the Office.
Please share with your artists —even those who haven't filed a copyright registration application in several years.
The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete. Copyright Alliance will not share any personal information about you with third parties. The data collected will only be used in the aggregate to inform the Copyright Office about how its proposed fee increases will affect creators. Please note that this is the first part of what will be a two-part survey. There will be a second request in a few weeks.
Please share your input by Monday, April 20, 2026 at the link below.
06. Hiring
Don't forget that the AMA has a job board where industry professionals regularly check for opportunities.
The Artist Management Association is visited by 17,000 unique visitors every year, and one of them could be your next indispensable hire!
