A Note from our President

Dear AMA Community,

As we close out the year, I want to share my deepest appreciation for each of you – the members, partners, and supporters who make this association genuinely meaningful. From the moment I joined the AMA at its inception, I’ve believed that this organization is one of the great unifiers in our industry, a place where agents can learn from one another, support one another, and rise together in a field that seems to be shifting beneath our feet.

And this year, we shifted a lot.

Together, we navigated the rapidly evolving landscape of AI, welcomed producers into our membership for the first time, expanded our programming, and continued strengthening the professional standards that keep our industry grounded. What I’ve loved most is watching all the ways our roles as agents, producers, and operations leads are becoming more interconnected, more transparent, and more collaborative. We’re building an ecosystem that isn’t just about representation, but about supporting the entire creative chain in smarter, more future-proof ways.

We also increased the frequency of our roundtables this year, a deliberate effort to create more opportunities for community connection, real-time discussion, and the kind of live conversation that reminds us why this association matters. Those hours together have become a cornerstone of our year: a place to troubleshoot, celebrate wins, share concerns, and strengthen the ties that keep our industry moving forward.

You showed up at roundtables and webinars, at happy hours and events, and in the countless conversations that shape not just the AMA, but the industry we all serve. Your generosity in sharing knowledge, resources, and hard-earned wisdom is exactly what keeps this organization moving forward.

Looking ahead to 2026, we continue our commitments:

• Expanding membership nationally and internationally

• Deepening education around AI, copyright, and emerging technologies

• Strengthening our newly-integrated producer community

• Increasing resources that support both new and veteran agents and producers

• Championing the standards and practices that protect the artists we represent

Our industry is not for the faint of heart, but it is for the deeply committed and having the AMA beside us means we don’t have to navigate these challenges alone. This community is rooted in leadership, advocacy, and shared growth … and I’m honored to serve as your president as we move into another inspired year.

Thank you for everything you’ve contributed to the AMA: your insight, your participation, your curiosity, and your passion.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright start to the new year.

Warmly,

Mary Dail
