Protect Your Creative Rights: Streamlined US Copyright Registration with Capture One Pro
Wednesday | November 6 | 1PM ET / 11AM PT
Join us for an in-depth look at ImageRights’ new Capture One Pro Plug-In designed to empower creators in protecting their work with seamless registration through the U.S. Copyright Office.
Photographer Brian Riedel will demonstrate how the Capture One Pro Plug-In integrates with the ImageRights platform, allowing artists to easily upload and register their images for copyright protection. Brian will share his experience and discuss how the plug-in has improved his workflow.
Alongside Brian, entertainment lawyer and founding partner of One LLP, John Tehranian will dive into the importance of copyright registration and explain key legal strategies for safeguarding creative rights. His practice focuses on litigation, counseling, and crisis management for clients in intellectual property, entertainment, and constitutional matters. Drawing on his experience in landmark cases, including Hargis v. Pacifica, John will highlight how proactive copyright registration can be a powerful tool for artists.
Moderated by Joe Naylor, CEO of ImageRights, this hour-long session will also feature a demonstration on how the integrated USCO registration process facilitates and expedites the assessment of copyright infringement claims, minimizing the time and effort required for photographers to protect their work. This is a unique opportunity to learn how creators can protect their work and navigate the complex landscape of content protection.

AMA Town Hall AI Discussion
The AMA recognizes and shares our membership’s and community’s concern over recent and alarming trends in the AI space; specifically regarding the new and evolving regulations at Adobe and Meta. These developments have raised serious unease given the significant implications they pose for our community; particularly for our artists. We are hosting a town hall next week to come together as a community and discuss actionable next steps needed to address these concerns:
Town Hall Details:
Date: Tuesday, June 18th
Time: 4PM ET / 1PM PT
The AMA Board will be joined by attorneys Doug Roy of Cypress and Emilie Pitts of Esther Grace Law.
The AMA is committed to being a prominent voice in this conversation and are taking the following steps:
- Consulting our legal counsel for advice on how to best protect the rights of our artists
- Actively connecting with other organizations in our community to determine how to best combine our efforts and explore options to ensure our voices are heard
- Researching lobbying opportunities with the goal of influencing National legislation to safeguard our community
For reference prior to the town hall, here are recent articles on the subject that can be helpful to understand the current situation:
