02. We are hiring!

The Artist Management Association (AMA) is hiring a part-time communications coordinator. This position will report to the managing director. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, informing our community about upcoming events, webinars and roundtables through social media and newsletters, managing the website and engaging with the members, partners and the community at large. Ideal candidates have a background in social media, with strong writing skills, and an eye for design. Experience in project management administration as well as familiarity with the commercial arts industry and culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee all AMA's social channels, including FB, Instagram and LinkedIn

        Keep active communications calendar 

        Create social posts

        Engage with community by responding to relevant questions

        Track Engagement across platforms

        Recommend and implement alternative methods of promotion

- Manage website updates

- Create monthly newsletters 

- Direct and manage AMA interns with support of Managing Director

- Assist in on-boarding new AMA members and partners

- Respond to member and partner emails when directed

- Administrative support to Managing Director 

REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to work independently

- Exceptional written and verbal communication

- Design experience with a background in social media

- Proficiency in Google (Drive, docs, sheets, slides, forms), social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc), InDesign, and Photoshop

- Interest in the non-union commercial arts industry, with a focus on photography, video, and illustration

LOGISTICS

- Anticipated start date: March 4, 2024

20 hours per week
- This position is remote

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

- Salary: $40,000 yearly, paid bi-weekly
- 5 days paid vacation, plus major US holidays
