02. Corporate Transparency Act

The Corporate Transparency Act mandates the reporting of beneficial ownership information, detailing the individuals who own a company.

Filings must be submitted to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) by December 31, 2024, at FinCEN.gov. This requirement is a one-time obligation, with subsequent updates necessary only if changes occur.

04. Bankruptcy

The recent bankruptcies of several large brands have impacted many of our members. A number of members have received letters from attorneys or bankruptcy trustees demanding they return payments received during the 90 day “look back” period prior to the brand filing for bankruptcy.

We have created a resource to help guide you through what to do if you receive one of these letters.

05. EIE Liability Insurance

Recently we’ve been made aware of an insurance omission by the AICP. The AMA has initiated an educational effort to inform members about the discovery of a specific clause in certain insurance policies, referred to as the Employee Injury Exclusion (EIE). The EIE clause specifically excludes coverage for injuries to employees, which can be a critical issue for businesses.

In response, we created a new Insurance section on the website to keep you up-to-date on insurance options and updates.

You can review the information regarding EIE Liability Insurance at the link below and determine if it impacts your company and how best to proceed.

06. AMA x N6 Speaker Series

Our next N6 x AMA Speaker Series is coming up in May and we’re talking about Editorial. We will have panelists from a range of publications holding different roles and want to hear from you as we write questions for the panelists.

What do you want to know about the editorial process, about the decisions, the trends and the challenges? What does Editorial mean to you? What changes are you seeing or wishing for for the future?

Your curiosity and insights will make this discussion robust and relevant to you.

You can submit questions for the panel at the link below.
