AMA News: November 2024 Newsletter
01. Dear AMA
Following last weeks election, we wanted to reach out and acknowledge the uncertainty many of us may be feeling. Now more than ever, our work to uplift and represent voices within the creative industry feels vital—not only as advocates, but as business owners dedicated to sustaining the wellbeing of our artists and ourselves.
We don’t just support the creative class—we are the creative class. As such, we have a responsibility to create space for diversity, self-expression, and inclusion, especially in challenging times. We are confident in our collective commitment to protecting the strength of our businesses and fostering a supportive, equitable environment for our artists.
With respect and resilience,
Pat Bates, AMA President
Mary Dail, AMA Vice President
02. Thank you
As we enter into our fifth year, we want to express our sincere thanks to our members and partners for being a part of the AMA this year.
Your insight and collaboration is invaluable and we are proud of the work we have been able to accomplish together. None of this would be possible without your continued support and active participation.
Wishing you all the best this holiday season.
03. ImageRights Webinar
Last week we had an in-depth look at ImageRights’ new Capture One Pro Plug-In designed to empower creators in protecting their work with seamless registration through the U.S. Copyright Office.
Thank you to Joe Naylor, John Tehranian, and Brian Riedel for such an informative webinar and for championing the importance of retaining your copyright.
